“Shiatsu” means finger- pressure in Japanese. This kind of treatment, however, utilizes a variety of different techniques including steady & vertical pressures, stretching, joint mobilization, and massage. They are applied using the palms, fingers, thumbs, forearms, elbows, knees and soles of the therapist.

The receiver is fully dressed in comfortable clothes and lies on the floor on a special mattress.

The purpose of Shiatsu is to ensure maximum well-being, acting upon the body, mind and spirit. It prevents and heals many different disharmonies. It promotes deep relaxation and relief from tension and stress conditions, which are indirectly or directly responsible for many of our health problems. It is one of the most popular and most widespread methods of physical treatment in the world.

Fascia - Shiatsu

A hands-on treatment which harmonizes body and soul by ‘educating’ perception. Two methods that approach the holistic view of well-being are combined – Shiatsu and Fascia Therapy.

By using techniques which vary from gentle non-invasive touch to strong pressure, joint mobilization, and muscle stretching, we seek to release, decongest or tone the connective tissue (fascia), using the ancient knowledge of energy channels (meridians) and acupuncture points, which run throughout our body, form and organize our matter as a single psychosomatic entity.

In this healing method every receiver is seen as a unique, particular and evolving human being.

This is a technique created after years of practice and experience in specialized methods of healing and balancing energy in the human body, methods that are all based on a good knowledge of anatomy and physiology. These include reflexology, traditional Asian and Western techniques of classic and deep tissue massage, osteopathic exercises, acupressure, and the use of energy patches through the healer’s hands.

Actually sculpting the body, bio-energetic massage harmonizes a human being so that vital energy flows unobstructed.

Relaxing massage with essential oils

Anti-stress, gentle massage throughout the body. This seemingly superficial touch, relaxes the muscular tone and calms the nervous system, relaxes the mind and creates a feeling of lightness. Appropriate essential oils stimulate the sense of smell and also penetrate directly into the bloodstream, with immediate beneficial results.

Athletic massage

Massaging is a very basic part of an athlete’s training. The main technique used in this case is functional massage. It is used so as to prevent acute and chronic injuries, to restore optimal condition, to reduce muscle pain, to improve performance and to treat sports injuries. This massage can be applied before, during and after participation in competitive sports.

Lymphatic Drainage

Lymphatic drainage is a type of gentle massage which is intended to encourage the natural drainage of the lymph which carries waste products away from the tissues back toward the heart. The lymph system depends on intrinsic contractions of the smooth muscle cells in the walls of lymph vessels and the movement of skeletal muscles to propel lymph through the vessels to lymph nodes and then to the lymph ducts which return lymph to the cardiovascular system. Manual lymph drainage uses a specific amount of pressure and rhythmic circular movements to stimulate lymph flow.

Hot stones massage

Hot stones massage is an ancient method of energy healing. It has been used by many nations in a number of ways by the shaman healers of Hawaii, the native Americans, the Chinese, the Egyptians and the ancient Greeks. Basalt rocks, black volcanic rocks which enclose the geomagnetic qualities of copper and iron, are heated so as to release energy and vibrations.

The hot stones strengthen the effect of the massage and increase the intensity of the usual contact. When the rounded stones start sliding on the skin which is already moist by the massage oils, the muscles release all tension and the receiver feels like being in a hot spa.

Herbal pouch massage

This treatment has its roots in Indonesia. It brings excellent results in relaxing and toning the muscles. Hot linen pouches filled with crushed herbs and minerals chosen according to the body area and the specific need – (lavender, sage, mint, basil, rosemary, calendula, chamomile, camphor, lemongrass, Sambuca and others). The treatment creates a feeling of calm, as together with the relaxing massage, the smell of the herbs and oils manages to transcend us to a more relaxing level, away from everyday stress.
